Job 28:28
‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; And to depart from evil is understanding
Solomon was just 12 years old when he was to be King over Israel. He asked God for wisdom that he may lead the people of Israel. God was so pleased with his request that not only did God give him wisdom he gave him much more than that, he lived in peace all the years of his life.
In James 1 God says if any of you lack wisdom ask and he will give it generously.
The Bible describes Wisdom in such amazing value. In proverbs you’ll find that wisdom yields better returns than Gold, is more precious than Rubies and nothing you desire can compare to her.
Do you value wisdom?
I sure do. When operating in wisdom not only do I benefit, but others around me benefit as well.
When operating in foolishness, there is no benefit, in fact it's quite costly. By God's grace we have access to wisdom. God's Word is wisdom.
Matthew 7: 24-27
24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
It’s not wise to do the opposite of God's word. Are you putting God's word into practice?
