Romans 5:19 NIV
For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.
The righteous are righteous. Sounds a little obvious sure it does but this is extremely vital we get this. The moment you were born again you were made righteous. It wasn’t because of a good work or righteous deed you did. It was because of the obedience of One Jesus Christ and you receiving Him as Lord and Savior.
What happened the day Adam sinned was powerful. So powerful that by no good work or righteous deed you or anyone born on this earth could undo. Except for Jesus. Jesus was born of a virgin and lived in complete obedience to God, He lived a sinless life. The Bible says He who knew no sin became sin so that we might become the righteousness of God. Hallelujah
Let’s continue to compare what Adam did and what Jesus did. What Jesus did was MUCH MORE powerful than what Adam did. Jesus took the punishment for our sin and gifted us His Righteousness. Well how Righteous was Jesus? I want you to know that once you are born again you are made the righteousness of God.
Now follow me here. If what Adam did was so powerful that no good work or righteous deed could undo that, then what bad work or unrighteous deed could possibly undo what Jesus did for you?
Too often the enemy wants us to convince us that our righteousness is based on our own obedience. But our righteousness is established through faith in the obedience of Jesus.
You are Righteous!
God bless you and may He continue to make Himself known to you.
